About the Project:
Neo Genesis Hospital in Janakpuri, Delhi, chose MedGenz India Pvt. Ltd. for three of the most important parts of a working hospital: a modular operation theatre, a medical gas pipeline system (MGPS) and hospital furniture.
For a hospital in West Delhi, these three decide how confidently the team can work every day. The OT has to be clean, controlled and easy to maintain. The gas supply has to be there every time it is needed, at the right outlet. The furniture has to handle constant use, frequent cleaning and patient comfort. Planning all three together, instead of as separate jobs, was the idea behind this project.
If you are looking for a modular OT manufacturer in Delhi, an MGPS installation company in Delhi NCR or a hospital furniture supplier in Delhi, this project shows how we work with hospitals close to our base. Our corporate office is in Dwarka, a short distance from Janakpuri, so site visits, coordination and follow-up are quick.
What the Hospital Needed:
Dr. Sitij Arora and the Neo Genesis Hospital team wanted to:
- Set up a modular OT in Janakpuri that is hygienic, well organized and easy to keep clean.
- Install a centralized medical gas pipeline so the OT and other clinical areas get a steady, safe supply.
- Furnish the hospital with durable, easy-to-clean furniture suited to daily patient use.
- Have one agency responsible for all three, so there is no confusion over who does what.
- Complete the work with minimal disruption to the hospital’s activities.
Scope of Work:
1. Modular Operation Theatre
We built the OT with pre-engineered panels that fit together cleanly, leaving very few joints where dust and germs can collect. The work covered:
- Smooth wall and ceiling panels with coved corners
- Chemical-resistant, antistatic flooring
- Sealed OT door
- Filtered air supply and air-conditioning arrangements, as specified
- OT light, control panel, pass box and scrub station, as specified
Air cleanliness in controlled rooms is classified under ISO 14644-1. The air-handling arrangements in the OT were planned as per the hospital’s specification and agreed scope. Hospitals planning a new theatre can also preview their layout through our 3D OT studio.
2. Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS)
Our team planned and installed the pipeline network that delivers medical gases to the OT and the other clinical areas included in the scope. This included:
- Planning and routing of the pipeline network
- Supply and installation of pipes, outlets, valves and alarms, as specified
- Pressure and leak testing before use
- Commissioning and handover documentation
The international standard ISO 7396-1 sets out requirements for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of medical gas pipeline systems. It is a useful reference for any hospital that is planning or auditing its own pipeline.
3. Hospital Furniture
Furniture in a hospital works harder than almost anything else in the building. For Neo Genesis Hospital, we supplied furniture chosen for strength, easy cleaning and patient comfort, as per the agreed list of items. We kept the focus on:
- Sturdy build that holds up to daily, round-the-clock use
- Surfaces and finishes that are simple to wipe down and disinfect
- Practical design that suits both patients and nursing staff
- Placement planned along with the OT and gas outlets, so nothing blocks access
All materials, specifications and responsibilities follow the project agreement.
How We Worked:
We began with the hospital’s actual requirements.
Before drawings, we talked to the Neo Genesis team about the surgeries they plan to do, how staff and patients move around, and where the OT would sit.
We designed the OT, gas system and furniture layout together.
This helps avoid the common site problems, like a gas outlet landing exactly where a panel or a bed needs to go.
We installed carefully.
Panels, flooring, pipelines and furniture were fixed in place with attention to joints, finishes and alignment, because these decide how easy the hospital will be to clean every day.
We tested before handover.
The gas pipeline was checked for pressure and leaks, and the OT was checked for function and readiness.
We handed over with a walk-through.
The hospital team was shown how the systems work, so they could start using them confidently.
Challenges We Kept in Mind:
Janakpuri is a busy, built-up part of West Delhi. Hospitals here often work with limited space and cannot afford long shutdowns. A job done by several vendors can also lead to delays, mismatched work and finger-pointing later.
We handled this by keeping all three scopes under one team, with one schedule and one point of contact. Prefabricated modular panels also helped, because they reduce messy on-site construction and give a consistent finish.
What the Hospital Gets:
- A cleaner, better-organized OT: Smooth, sealed surfaces that are quick to wipe down between surgeries.
- A dependable gas supply: A centralized pipeline in place of loose cylinders in the theatre.
- Furniture built for daily use: Durable, easy to clean and comfortable for patients.
- One team, clear responsibility: Fewer calls, fewer delays.
- Planning that supports accreditation: A layout and infrastructure that help a hospital work towards NABH guidelines.
- Support after handover: Hospitals can also look at our AMC/CMC services to keep systems in good working condition.
Actual outcomes depend on the scope of work, site conditions and the terms of the project agreement.
Client Feedback:
“Our hospital needed a clean, well-planned OT, a reliable medical gas system and practical furniture, all ready to work together. MedGenz handled all three as one project and kept the communication clear from planning to handover. We appreciate the professionalism of their team.”
